Our Story
TechAlpha Ltd was founded with a single clear purpose: to make advanced health data science accessible, actionable, and impactful for organisations across the NHS, academia, and the pharmaceutical industry.
We recognised that many healthcare and life sciences organisations hold rich, complex datasets: Electronic Health Records, administrative data, clinical registries, but lack the specialist expertise to transform that data into real-world insight. TechAlpha exists to bridge that gap.

Meet the Founder (Dr Mohsin Masood, PhD: Founder & Principal Consultant)
Dr Mohsin Masood is a specialist health data scientist with extensive experience spanning Electronic Health Record (EHR) phenotyping, Real-World Evidence (RWE) generation, pharmacovigilance, and the application of artificial intelligence and machine learning in clinical settings.
Dr Masood holds a PhD in health data science and has built his career working at the intersection of clinical informatics, epidemiology, and data engineering. He has particular expertise in rare and complex conditions and has led projects applying the OMOP Common Data Model, process mining, and large language models (LLMs) to real-world clinical datasets.
His work spans the full evidence lifecycle: from cohort definition and phenotyping, through statistical analysis and causal inference, to visualisation and regulatory- grade reporting. He has collaborated with NHS organisations, universities, pharmaceutical companies, and Contract Research Organisations (CROs) in the UK and internationally.
Dr Masood founded TechAlpha Ltd to create a specialist consultancy that combines academic rigour with practical delivery, ensuring that clients receive not just analysis, but insight that drives decisions.
